HOME ROOM PARENTS
- Parents can sign up to be a Homeroom Parent on Information Day or Back to School Night. The first responsibility of the Homeroom Parent is to attend the InfoBlast meeting with the Homeroom Parent’s Chairman. The date and time of the meeting is posted on the school calendar. During this meeting you will provided a copy of your class signup sheets and parent contact sheets. Click the link above to review CLASSROOM SIGNUP SHEETS.
For school-wide events, like Fall Fun Fest and Field Day, your job will be to schedule volunteers from your signup sheet or recruit extra workers for the designated time slots given to your class. Reminder calls or emails for all your classroom volunteers bringing items or working a booth should be made a few days before the event. For the Auction, your function will be to serve as a basket coordinator for your classroom. Your class will be combined with 2 other classrooms to create 1 grade level basket. You, along with 2 other homeroom parents and 1 grade coordinator, will select a theme for your basket and send out flyers to your classes letting them know the theme for the basket. Then, collect donations and assemble the basket.
For class parties; such as the Holiday, Valentine, and Popsicle parties; your duty is to remind or solicit volunteers to bring the needed items such as drinks, snacks, etc. for the party; attend the party; and assist the teacher as needed.
